Our Farmer

At Rooiboslief, we are committed to bringing you the best quality Rooibos tea, and we owe that to our 4th generation family farm located in the heart of the Rooibos Valley in the Citrusdal area. Our farmer has been practising environmentally sustainable farming techniques for over three generations and is dedicated to producing an annual harvest of around 500 tons of Rooibos.

With over 36 years of experience in farming Rooibos, they were one of the first farms to produce Rooibos in the region and have consistently improved the quality of their tea while providing a reliable supply of superior-grade Certified Organic Rooibos to national and international markets.

Our farmer’s dedication to sustainability is evident in the way they farm and process their Rooibos, ensuring the protection of the environment and their local community. As a result, our Rooibos is certified Organic by Ecocert SA and holds EU Organic Certification for export to international customers.

CERTIFICATIONS

Our Rooibos is certified Organic by Ecocert SA. We hold USDA NOP and EU 2018/848 Organic Certification for export to international customers. The farm processing facilities are formally inspected annually, and certifications are reviewed and renewed.
